Antique Porcelain Portrait Peasant Girl Tile Plaque Victorian Brooch Pin Pendant
This lovely antique porcelain plaque brooch pin is painted in the tradition of the early master European painters. High quality hand painted probably German porcelain plaque with a 14K gold filigree mount , circa 1860-1890's. Features amazing detail in this portrait of the very beautiful peasant young boy or girl. Painted as the European 19th century vision of the with a coral or amber beads necklace at her neck, and a fabric hat/shawl on her head. The detail to the face and hair is fabulous, the colors are very soft and incredibly life like. No makers mark, and is unsigned, but we are attributing this to high quality German porcelain. Framed in its original 14K gold bezel. Clasp looks to have been replaced in the early 1900's. Adjustable ring at the top to be able to convert from a brooch to a pendant.
Pendant Pin measures a approximately 1 1/2" high by 1 3/8" wide.
