Antique Wedgwood Porcelain Black Basalt Jasperware Spill Vase England Rare 3.75”
We are offering an antique Wedgwood miniature spill vase, measuring about 3.75” tall and 2.25” in diameter. This piece is in the striking black basalt color, a matte black, with the iconic Wedgwood Jasperware pattern around the body and a floral scroll about the rim. Spill vases were originally designed to hold spill, the precursor to matches, but they work just as well for flowers or pens or simply as a display. This truly unique piece is the perfect addition to any collection!
The bottom of the piece is marked “Wedgwood” and “Made in England” along with the number “4”, dating it to sometime between 1908 and 1930.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
