Vintage Bob Fosse's Dancin' Original American Theater Poster Ann Reinking Huge 60" H x 40" W Framed We are offering a great poster of Bob Fosse's Dancin' . It is was done for the American Theater. Framed with blue metal and thin light plexiglass. "After the success of the dance-intensive A Chorus Line, choreographer extraordinaire Bob Fosse proposed a show with little dialogue and singing. Fosse's concept for the show was to use classical and show music, popular music, rock and roll, Mozart, Bach, and contemporary music by Neil Diamond, Melissa Manchester, and Cat Stevens— anything except a new score written by a collaborator. This collection of routines earned him a Tony for director/choreographer in 1978 Dancin’ opened on March 27, 1978 running four years for a total of 1774 performances at two different Broadway Theatres. Broadhurst Theatre, (3/27/1978-11/29/1980) Ambassador Theatre, (11/30/1980 – 6/27/1982). The show's choreography was so demanding, that small theatre companies were unable to effectively recreate it, and so the show was never revived." Measures 60" high by 40" wide by 1" deep. With the wire onthe back to hang right up. 1978 original lithograhed poster. Fold marks, which is original. Comes with an original photograph of the cast placed inside the frame. Excellent condition. Framed with plexiglass, so light and easy to hang up. Because of the size of the plexiglass, after so many years the plexiglass has bowed out . When you look at it sideways, you see it.
