Vintage Penny Pineapple Hawaii 50th State Cast Iron Mechanical Bank - Works!
We are offering a working vintage cast iron coin bank, made in 1960 to commemorate Hawaii as the 50th state added to the Union. Put the coin in the hand and pull the level on their back to have them deposit the coin into their mouth as their eyes roll back. The bottom must be unscrewed in order for the coins to be removed.
The back is marked 'Penny Pineapple Hawaii' and 'July 4, 1960'. The bottom is marked 'PAT NO. D190242', 'YORK, PA', and 'Imswiler & Saylor'.
It measures approximately 9" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 5" deep.
This bank is in very good condition considering its age. There is minimal wear on the bank with very light paint chipping on the arm and some of the face but we gave it a light brushing to remove dust. While it fully works, it could use a cleaning. Please look at photos as an extension of our written description.
