The Focusrite Penta is a versatile 2U rackmountable stereo compressor that combines multiple analog processing features; a Class-A mic preamp, stereo compressor, tube emulator, stereo width controller, and an expansion bay or an optional A/D converter, all within a durable 19-inch chassis. The single-channel mic preamp, identical to the one used in the VoiceMaster and Digidesign's Control|24, ensures high-quality recordings for mono signals while the stereo circuitry excels at final mix compression.

The Penta’s compressor features 16 fully editable presets with dynamic response settings for soft or hard knee shapes, Side-Chaining; accommodating a wide range of instruments and sounds. With TubeTran technology, it emulates VCA, optical, and valve compressors, adding analog warmth and versatility. Good option for stereo instrument compression and stereo mixdowns/mastering.

*Condition*

Unit is in Good cosmetic shape and has been tested to ensure that it is in full working condition. Like most rack gear worth using, it has the common marks and dings of it's type; scratching on the top of the unit, sides, and rack ears. But nothing scary. There is a little dark dirt staining on parts of the front that I couldn't get off with a lightly damp cloth. It's nothing crazy, but if it bothers you, you might have to use a little something extra. Does not come with power chord, but its your standard 3-prong.
