Antique 1877 Wedgwood Terracotta Chinoiserie Floral Pitcher Pewter Lid
Antique 1867 Wedgwood Rosso Antico Redware Capriware Teapot Floral Designs RARE

This charming Wedgwood Pitcher, crafted in 1877, is a lovely example of the Terracotta & Chinoiserie stylings. Its warm, earthy red ceramic has a soft matte finish that feels timeless and natural. Delicate floral sprigs, hand-painted in vivid enamels, bring a vibrant pop of color, accented with subtle touches of gold for an exotic flair. The graceful curves of the spout and body complement the floral designs, offering a beautiful contrast to the understated matte surface. Inspired by Chinese famille rose porcelains, this piece reflects Wedgwood's effort to capture their elegance and popularity with the
Chinoiserie style. Top offed with a pewter lid that swings open and shut as you pour it. We believe it may have been used/intended for syrup.

Dimensions: 4 5/8" x 3.5" x 7 1/8"
Weight: 13oz

Overall Good condition. Some dark marking around the body. One of the little pegs that attaches the lid to the pitcher is missing, but the lid is still intact. Typical scuffing on bottom rim where the piece sits.
