We are offering an antique hand painted French miniature portrait, measuring about 3” in diameter in the frame. This piece is a beautiful portrait of a youngFrench Court lady in Rococo style dress, including powdered hair decorated with ribbon and flowers, on a pastoral background.
The frame is 18k gold in a delicate geometric pattern accented with spirals of gold wire. The artist signed the piece in the bottom right. Hard to decipher. Looks like "Hall or __all"
Glass in the front and back inside the frame.The back of the frame is black fabric under glass and includes a design of two interlocking hearts decorated with the same 18k gold spirals as the frame.
This can be hung on a wall or worn as a large pendant!
This piece is the perfect addition to any collection.
Very good condition with minimal age-related wear. There is some tarnish to the gold at the back of the frame.
