Antique ABP Cut-Glass Vanity Powder Jar w/ Dominick & Haff Sterling Silver Lid, c. 1900
Here we have an Antique American Brilliant Period Vanity Jar adorned with a Sterling Silver lid by Dominick & Haff. Deeply cut glass body (hobstar and fan motifs) fitted with a wide rolled sterling collar. Classic late-19th/early-20th century American form (1890-1910) ideal for cosmetics, hairpins, or small desk items.
Marks: Collar stamped “STERLING” with the Dominick & Haff geometric hallmark (rectangle-oval-diamond), “PATENT”, and “304.”
Measurements: 4.5" Diameter (bottom) x 3 1/4" H
*Condition*
Good antique condition with expected surface wear from use and patina expected from time. Scattered light abrasions to the silver mount, minor shelf/rub wear to high points of the cutting; no cracks observed. Glass rings well and presents brightly.
