Here we have an original mid-19th century ambrotype photograph of a mourning woman, housed in its ambrotype, floral-embossed leather cover. This image likely dates to the 1850s–1860s, judging by the case, subject’s hairstyle and dress. Trimmed in geometric gilting.
*Condition*
Good condition, but doesn't include front cover (which would be connected at the hinged). Wood Sides have age related wear. Leather shows surface wear but is in relative good condtion.
