Antique Bradley & Hubbard Cast Iron Shakespeare Bookend Heavy Library Rare
We are offering an antique single bookend / doorstop, measuring about 6.25” tall, 4.5” wide, and 2.25” deep. This piece is designed to look like a library bookcase, with a banner in front with a quote from Shakespeare’s Tempest, “My library was dukedom large enough.” Solid cast iron is heavy enough to hold up a stack of books without tipping over. This piece is the perfect addition to any collection.
This piece is attributed to Bradley & Hubbard, but is unmarked.
Very good to excellent condition with minimal age-related wear. There are some small pinpricks of surface rust in the crevices.
