Antique Deco Metal Layered Yellow Jewelry Music Box Mirrored Lid Bakelite Handle
Unique antique Deco music/jewelry box from an unknown maker, c1920-1930's, USA. Vibrant yellow finish sits on the base metal composition. The shape shows visual "layers", graduating down in size from the bottom, widest part. The item sits on three ball-shaped spherical feet. An additional sphere is seen on the top of the lid, in between a neat piece of orange Bakelite(color is darker in person), and acts as a pull-handle. Interior of lid shows a mirror and the music begins to play when the top is lifted. Wind attached on gold wooden underside. The text "U.S. Patent No. 009.804".
Measures 5" in Diameter and stands 3 1/2" High.
Good condition showing average amount of wear: to the yellow paint (roughly 85% intact), to the interior metal housing, and to the Bakelite top piece. Music box winds easily and works and ceases depending on the lid positioning.
