We are offering an antique pair of framed engravings, measuring about 9.5 L” x 11.25” H x 1” D in the frames. This pair is hand colored, each depicting traditional clothing from two different regions in France, Cauchois and Vosges. The artist, Jacques Grasset de Saint-Sauveur, is famous for his series of engravings depicting different peoples of the world, and these two were printed in 1780. This pair is the perfect addition to any collection.
Very good to excellent condition with minimal age-related wear. There is some expected yellowing to the paper of the print. The frames are sturdy and include wires for hanging.
