Antique Hubley Cast Iron Small French Basket Door Stop ~ Design #4 – c. 1920s
Here we have a charming cast iron doorstop with original haind-painted finish. This piece is a 1920s Hubley piece believed to be produced in the Albany Foundry. Known as the "Small French Basket", design #4 (aka design #8 at different distributors). Featuring an ornate basket filled with detailed floral designs and soft-pastel colors. Perfect for a garden, patio, sunroom, or outdoor-esque space. Strong enough to work as intended as a door stop, but could also function as a book end.
Markings: Stamped “4” and “6” on the back
