Gorgeous and Rare miniature oil lamp!
We are offering an antique hand painted Victorian porcelain and glass miniature oil lamp by Sitzendorf, Alfred Voigt, Germany. This piece is a striking floral sculpture wrapping around a cream base. Brown branches form the feet of the piece while leaves frame the sides. At one side is a meticulously detailed bunch of pink and white flowers. Similar to a style called "Snow Ball" Meissen also produced at the time.
Baccarat glass lamp shade in a vaseline yellowish green color .
Oil lamps like this were used bedside as a boudoir light next to a bed and in hallways. Rare to find! We may have had 2-3 in 50 years!
The Victorian Art glass lamp shade is lime green and textured in a pinwheel design. The color changes in intensity. Gorgeous! This piece is a beautiful addition to any collection.
The bottom is signed with the mark of Alfred Voigt and imprinted “134”. Made in 1884-1900.
Converted to electricity while not hurting the lamp. Electricity works well. One tiny section near the metal rim on the shade that has clear glass, no pattern ot color.
Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Some roughness or the edge of some leaves. May have been made like that.
