Antique Porcelain Figure Boy with Lute Hat Pin Pen Nib Brush Holder Rare German

We are offering an antique porcelain hat pin holder, measuring about 5.5” tall, 4.5” wide, and 3” deep. This piece depicts a young boy with a lute or mandolin on a garlanded stage, possibly taking a bow. There are pops of a beige color in his hair, instrument, and shoes to add visual interest, as well as lovely shades of blue in his clothes. There are six holes in the holder, as well as one larger, more general opening at the back. This may likely have been used on a vanity for hat pins, or on a desk for pen nibs or paint brushes. This piece is the perfect addition to any collection!

There is one impressed number “61” and one over glaze number “8”. There are no other marks.

Very good condition with minimal age-related wear. There is some crazing about the piece, as expected considering its age. One corner has a hairline crack. Please inspect the provided photos carefully, as they are an extension of our written description.
