Antique Mother of Pearl Handled Knives – Set of 12 by L.F. & C. with Original Strawbridge & Clothier Felt Roll
Here we have a matched set of twelve antique, Victorian-Era, dinner knives; each fitted with mother-of-pearl handles and silver-plated blades, crafted by L.F. & C. (Landers, Frary & Clark) of New Britain, Connecticut; who produced quality tableware during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The blades bear the maker’s mark, and the set is housed in its original burgundy felt roll, retailed by the historic Philadelphia department store Strawbridge & Clothier.

Condition:
Good antique condition overall. The blades show moderate surface scratching and some minor tarnish, consistent with age and prior use. Handles display a pretty strong sheen with minor natural variation and a few light hairlines. Ferrules have expected patina and wear. The original felt roll is intact but shows wear and age-related fuzzing at the seams. Overall, a still handsome set of antique dinner knives.
