Antique Wedgwood Pewter Porcelain Blue Jasperware Etruscan Jug Creamer England
$99.99
We are offering an antique Wedgwood jasperware Etruscan jug in Portland blue, measuring about 3.5” tall and 2.75” at its widest point. This piece is in the iconic Wedgwood style of Greco-Roman revival, with a pastoral scene of children and maidens wrapping around the middle and bordered on the top and bottom by a floral scroll. There is a metal lid attached to the rim, so this was probably intended for use to serve cream or syrup. The inside of the jug is glazed while the outside is not. This piece is the perfect addition to any collection!
The bottom is marked “Wedgwood”, dating this piece to some point before 1891.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The hinge on the lid still works.
Disclaimer: we cannot confirm whether the lid is pewter. Therefore, we do not recommend this piece be used to serve food. It is for display only.
