We are offering an antique Wedgwood creamer jug, measuring about 3.75” tall and 5” at its widest point. This piece is in the striking black basalt color, a matte black, with a detailed scroll in high relief around the body. The inside is glazed, and the outside is matte. This pattern was designed to pay homage to the unity of Great Britain, with a Tudor rose for England, a thistle for Scotland, a harp for Wales, and a clover for Ireland. This truly unique piece is the perfect addition to any collection!
The bottom is marked “Wedgwood” and “36”. This piece is dated before 1891, and we believe it may be from sometime in the 1870s or 1880s.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
