Here we have an antique Wedgwood jasperware covered sugar bowl in Portland Blue with applied white relief decoration. This piece dates between 1891 and 1910, as indicated by the impressed marks
The body is decorated with classical figures beneath leafy trees in the traditional neoclassical style, with an acanthus-leaf band circling the lid. The portland blue ground contrasts beautifully with the crisp white reliefs.

Marks: Impressed WEDGWOOD and ENGLAND, plus potter’s marks.
Condition:
