VTG Wedgwood Porcelain White on Black Jasperware Tobacco Jar w/ Lid England Rare
We are offering a vintage Wedgwood tobacco jar, measuring about 4.5” tall and 3.25” in diameter. This piece is in the striking matte black color, with the iconic white Jasperware reliefs around the body. The lid has a radial palm leaf design. This type of jar would originally be used to serve chewing tobacco or cigarettes, but works very well to hold trinkets or coins, or simply as a display. This truly unique piece is the perfect addition to any collection!
The bottom is marked “Wedgwood” and “Made in England” sans serif alongside some letters, dating it to sometime after 1930, probably the mid-century.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
