Antique Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre No. 5 Ruby Dragon Vase Daisy Makieg-Jones

Here we have an Antique Wedgwood Fairyland Vase. Ruby lustre exterior, mother-of-pearl lustre interior with gilt dragon, grasshopper, and geometric motifs.

The Z4827 lustre range on this vase, featuring gilded butterflies on a ruby lustre exterior and with a mother-of-pearl lustre interior, was the second most popular lustre/pattern combination in terms of quantities sold. A small vase such as this one would have sat on a vanity as an affordable, everyday luxury item. The No. 5 lustre pattern was produced from 1914 until 1929.

Very good condition. Light age related wear around body, small chip by the grasshopper .
