Lot of 12 vintage 1972 U.S. presidential campaign pinback buttons for George McGovern and Thomas Eagleton. Includes two styles: eight flag-design buttons featuring portrait images over an American flag background, and four round buttons reading “Come Home America – McGovern Eagleton.”
These date to the 1972 Democratic presidential campaign. Eagleton briefly served as McGovern’s running mate before being replaced 18 days into his nomination on the campaign, making original McGovern-Eagleton materials a notable piece of political campaign memorabilia.
