Vintage Chinese Incense Brass Etched Burner Holder 1930's Art Deco Made in China
Here we have a Vintage Chinese Incense holder. Built from brass and etched with intricate shallow foliage designs. These etchings appear on the bowl, lid, and each of the three legs. There are four holes on the lid to allow smoke to escape. The base is marked "Made in China" and displays six Chinese characters, known as the "Xuande Period Mark," a symbol associated with the Xuande Emperor’s reign (1425-1435), considered the artistic peak of the Ming Dynasty. Likely made of brass and dating from the 1930s, this estimation is based on similar examples found online.
Weight: 13oz
Dimensions: 3 ⅝”L x 3 ⅜”W x 4 ¾”H (2 ⅝”H w/out Lid)
Good condition. Definitely used, as there are burn marks on the inside of the bowl and some use-related tarnish around it.
