Today we have a vintage lithograph by American artist Elizabeth O’Neill Verner (1883–1979) featuring the iconic twin spires of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. Though best known for her Charleston subjects, Verner also captured scenes from her travels. Signed in lower right. Framed under glass in vintage reddish-brown wood frame. This is a rare find for collectors of American art, New York City history, or admirers of Verner’s work. A compelling early 20th-century urban scene by not only a significant Southern artist, but a shining example of women empowerment.
