Vintage Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Framed Lithograph ~ Wall Street, New York City
Today we have a Framed Lithograph by American artist Elizabeth O’Neill Verner (1883–1979) capturing a bustling Wall Street scene in New York City during the early 20th century. Verner, best known for her Charleston etchings, also documented major American cities with precision and atmosphere during her travels. This piece is a prime example of her urban work.
The composition features the dramatic architechture of the financial district structures, looking west toward the Trinity Church spire in the distance. Period automobiles, street lamps, and a crowd of suited city dwellers. Signed © Elizabeth O’Neill Verner
