Vintage Japanese Kutani Kara-e Style Red Gold Turquoise Vase 8 Inch
Here we have a vintage Japanese Kutani-style porcelain vase decorated in the Kara-e (Chinese-inspired) tradition. The body features a vivid persimmon-red enamel ground with overglaze patterns of turquoise, gold, and cobalt blue. Circular “pinwheel” medallions repeat across the surface in gilt outlines, bordered by blue-and-white geometric bands at the rim and base.
A decorative Qianlong-style seal mark appears on the underside—typical of mid-century Japanese porcelain made in tribute to Chinese imperial designs.
