VINTAGE LITHOGRAPH PRINT POSTER FRANCOIS DESOYNER FRANCE SALON MANTES-LA-JOLIE
Offered here is a great Mid Century era, Mod French lithograph print poster by the famous artist (1894-1972) .
Features a scene from the South of France on the Mediterranean. Palm trees, a boat and people done in a style of whimsical illustration. Very colorful. Desoyner painted in a similar style to Duffy. This poster was made to honor the work of Desoyer in a gallery in the town on Mantes-la-Jolie, a suburb/township of Paris.(about 30 miles away) Poster states "VIII Salon D'arts Plastiques, Hommage a Desnoyer, Mantes-la-Jolie, November to December, 1968" Framed in a cool colorful yellow and white wood frame and is under glass. This poster dates from an exhibition done in his honor in 1968. He passed away a few years later.
Frame measures approximately 25" W x 30.5" H. Site size is roughly 18"W and 26" H.
Item is in excellent old, vintage condition. Some distressing on frame. Just adds to the great look of this Mid-Century mod look! Some minimal rippling of the lithograph inside the glass. It would be a good idea to reset the paper flat in the frame, although it is not necessary. Mild discoloration on the white part of the litho.
