Vintage MCM Van Briggle Pottery “Bird of Paradise” Blue Sculptural Vases Pair 8"
Wonderful pair of Van Briggle Pottery “Bird of Paradise” sculptural vases in a beautiful blue/turquoise/teal glaze. Very interesting stylized birdwing-like rising slope from the rounded base.
The soft matte glaze transitions subtly from lighter aqua to deeper blue at the base, highlighting the sculpted contours. Each piece is fully marked on the underside with the Van Briggle logo and incised script. Made in Colorado Spring, Colorado.
Marks attributed to Mid Century Modern Period (1940's - Early 70's)
