Vintage “Souvenir Views” Postcards by Richard Tech Company Chicago; WWII Memorabilia
Here we have a complete set of 20 Postcards by Richard Tech Company with the location subject being Hawaii. Comes in the original box. Box was purchased and sent by Sgt. Joseph Steinhagen Sr. during his time in the pacific during WWII. The cards detail various fauna, animals, celebrations, and other significant aspects of life in Hawaii. All of the cards are unmarked, except for the box which details the original sent and received addresses and addressees, Army Inspection Stamps, and Postage. It is also dated “6/13th/44”, which we assume was the date of original mailing. Cards measure about 3.5”x2.5”. Full box measurements are 3.75”x2.75”x0.5” and weigh 2oz.
Despite the condition details mentioned above, cards are in very nice shape. No bending, cracks, or peeling. The box has some signs of wear, but is still in tact and in general good shape; especially for its age. All 20 cards are present.
