Here we have a TASCAM 244 Portastudio, a legendary four-track cassette recorder and mixer that set the standard for home recording in the 1980s. This unit features four channels with EQ, pan, and aux sends, and built-in dbx noise reduction system to helps reduce tape hiss if desired. The transport controls are smooth and responsive, and the VU meters provide precise level monitoring.
If you’re looking to add some analog character to your recordings, the TASCAM 244 is a solid choice. Though not as complex and feature rich, and not as many tracks or output as some later models, I find this machine to be very accessible much easier to wrap your head around then say the 246. AKA; get to the recording. These machines are getting harder to find, especially in good working condition.

Great working condition. Recently serviced in the last year or so, with little to no use since. Functions have been tested. Buttons and knobs are in good shape, as well as the tape door.
