Vintage Wedgwood Porcelain Black Basalt Fluted Pitcher Jug Laurels England Rare
We are offering a vintage Wedgwood pitcher, measuring about 4.5” tall and 6.25” at its widest point. This piece is in the striking black basalt color, a matte black, with a fluted body and scroll of laurels in high relief around the neck. This truly unique piece is the perfect addition to any collection!
The bottom is marked “Wedgwood” and “ Made in England” in sans serif, though the mark has been stamped multiple times over, which makes it difficult to read. This dates the piece to the mid-century, probably the 1950s.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
