Vintage Wedgwood Porcelain Queensware Jasperware White Tobacco Jar w/ Lid Rare

We are offering a vintage Wedgwood tobacco jar, measuring about 4.25” tall and 3.25” in diameter. This piece is in the rare Queensware embossed glaze in white, with the iconic Jasperware reliefs around the body also in white. The lid has a radial palm leaf design. This type of jar would originally be used to serve chewing tobacco or cigarettes, but works very well to hold trinkets or coins, or simply as a display. This truly unique piece is the perfect addition to any collection!

The bottom of the piece is marked “Wedgwood” and “Made in England” sans serif along with some miscellaneous numbers, dating it to sometime after the 1930s, probably the 1970s. There is also “Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston/ Made in  England/ Embossed Queens Ware” stamped on the bottom as well.

Very good condition with no chips or crazing. There is a hairline crack in the lid, which does not go all the way through. Please inspect the provided photos carefully, as they are an extension of our written description.
