VTG Chinese Plique A Jour Cloisonné Basket Transparent Enamel Lily Floral Rare
We are offering a vintage enamel and metal basket, measuring about 4” tall, 5.75” long, and 4.25” wide. This piece was crafted with the plique a jour technique, with enamel painted in the gaps between delicately patterned metal wires. This creates a thin, transparent design similar to stained glass. This piece has the image of a water lily blooming out of a pond with butterflies fluttering around the petals. The pink, blue, and green of the enamel contrasts beautifully with the gold tone of the wire. The bottom is clearly marked “Not For Food”. This piece is the perfect addition to any collection.
Very good to excellent condition with no cracks or dents.
