Vtg Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Framed Lithograph Central Park Gapstow Bridge ~ NYC
Today we present a framed lithograph of Southern artist Elizabeth O’Neill Verner (1883–1979) capturing a view of Central Park, New York City and Gapstow Bridge. The stone bridge in the foreground and architectural skyline (including the Sherry-Netherland Hotel and surrounding towers) firmly place the scene at the southeast corner of Central Park.
Verner, best known for her Charleston scenes, also produced artwork during her travels. Notably, daily scenes of life in early New York City.
