Vtg. Lot of 28 Reading Railroad Steam Locomotive Negatives + # Card c. 1940's (#29–56)
Today we have a lot of 28 original, vintage photo negatives of Reading Company steam locomotives, accompanied by the original handwritten roster card indexing locomotives (numbered 29 through 56). The card is titled “Reading Company” and provides detailed notations on engine numbers, wheel arrangements, locations, and dates ranging from 1940 to 1941.
The negatives document Reading steam locomotives in various classes, including 4-4-0, 4-6-0, 2-8-0, and 2-10-2 types. Locations noted include Glenside, Valley Forge, Reading Terminal, New Cumberland (PA), and Newtown, with specific dates such as September 22, 1940 and March 1, 1941.
