Vintage Famille Rose Porcelain Vases CLS Hong Kong 12.25” Pair
Description:Offered here is a vintage mid-century pair of Famille Rose porcelain vases, Made in Japan and beautifully hand decorated and sold together as a set.
Each vase measures approximately 5"D x 12 1/4”H with a 4 1/8” rim diameter.
Weights are 2 lb 3 oz and 2 lb 6 oz respectively.
These feature classic Chinese decorative elements including stylized guardian lions (foo dogs), birds in flight, florals, landscape scenery, longevity medallions, and raised molded dragon motifs accented in gilt. The applied red and gold detailing around the shoulder and neck adds depth and dimension, giving the pair strong presence in a display setting.
The underside is marked in red:
“Japanese Porcelain Ware C.L.S. Hand Decorated in Hong Kong.”
Pieces like this were commonly produced for export during the mid-20th century and reflect the popular chinoiserie aesthetic of the era.
Condition:
No cracks or major chips observed. Light surface wear and some marks consistent with age. Minor glaze and firing irregularities typical of hand-decorated porcelain. One vase sits slightly more wobbly than the other on a flat surface. Please review all photos carefully for full condition detail.
