VTG Wedgwood Porcelain Black Basalt Jasperware Large Spill Vase England Rare 7.5
We are offering a vintage Wedgwood spill vase, measuring about 7.5” tall and 3” in diameter. This piece is in the striking black basalt color, a matte black, with the iconic Wedgwood Jasperware pattern around the body and a floral scroll about the rim. Spill vases were originally designed to hold spill, the precursor to matches, but they work just as well for flowers or pens or simply as a display. This truly unique piece is the perfect addition to any collection!
The bottom of the piece is marked “Wedgwood” and “Made in England” sans serif, along some letters and numbers, dating it to sometime after 1930, probably mid-century.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
