VTG Wedgwood Porcelain Reverse Blue on White Jasperware Tobacco Jar w/ Lid Rare
We are offering a vintage Wedgwood tobacco jar, measuring about 4.5” tall and 3.25” in diameter. This piece is in the reverse of the typical colors, a matte white, with the iconic Jasperware reliefs around the body in blue. The lid has a radial palm leaf design. This type of jar would originally be used to serve chewing tobacco or cigarettes, but works very well to hold trinkets or coins, or simply as a display. This truly unique piece is the perfect addition to any collection!
The bottom is marked “Wedgwood ®” and “Made in England” sans serif alongside some letters, dating it to sometime after the mid-century, probably the 1970s.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
