1991 Harmoniya 70M Guitar Speaker Cabinet 3 X 12"~Black Tolex~Very Unusual
Here's a piece of used gear you have probably never seen nor heard of before: this is a cool 1991 Russian manufactured Harmoniya model 70M 3 X 12" musical instrument speaker cabinet in black tolex. Weird, unusual, yet a wonderful look and sonically very sound(no pun intended). This has tons of Mojo as one can see from our quantity of images.
Due to the weight & fragile nature of this piece of vintage electronic equipment (after all, she's 32 years old), we will not be able to ship this speaker cabinet. This is being priced & offered for local pick up only. If that is an impossible task for you, please contact us & we might be able to accommodate you. NEW PRICE DROP!
DESCRIPTION:
Although we have searched far & wide for any information on this brand, we have, unfortunately, come up totally empty! This is a 3 X 12" guitar speaker cabinet that looks to be of good quality. Wood or plywood cab with black tolex covering and we had castors installed for ease of mobility. We would guess that it's similar to a Sovtek cabinet although in a more unusual 3 speaker configuration.
CONDITION:
Overall, cab is in good used condition. there are some assorted tolex losses, smudge marks, bumps & bruises that would be expected from a 32 year old piece of heavily used sound equipment. Speakers were blown when we purchased this at an auction, so we ordered some appropriate Electro-Harmonix model 12VR1675 watt, 16 ohm guitar amplifier speakers to replace the bad. The new speakers sound great & will only sound better once they are broken in fully. There are 2 small tears in the original grill cloth along with some snags & pulls, but nothing too detrimental to the overall visual vibe of this cab. Both badges are intact & are original. 4 castors were installed, as this cab is fairly heavy. One of the top corner protectors was AWOL when we purchased her, and we decided not to replace that.
This speaker cabinet was professionally inspected & repaired by our highly regarded audio tech at JHN Audio, out of Barracks Trading Post in Maple Shade, NJ……… so this speaker cab is now ready to rip & add to your onstage persona!
SPECIFICATIONS:
- 20.75" wide X 45.25" high X 13.50" deep.
- Speakers will handle 200 watts + from any type of head that you wish to use.
- The Russian plaque mounted on the rear translates to: "ACOUSTIC SYSTEM AMPLIFIER, HARMONIA(HARMONIYA) 70m, POWER 35 WATTS, FREQUENCY RANGE 63 TO 14,000 HERTZ, RESISTANCE (IMPEDANCE?)5 OHMS, SERIAL NUMBER 173, MANF 1991".
- We could not weigh this cabinet, but would guesstimate she's somewhere in the vicinity of approx 80 to 100 lbs.

- 2 recessed handles, one on the top & one on the bottom of the cab.
