1847 Rogers Bros A1 Silverplate Fish Knife | Floral Engraved Serving Knife
Today we have an antique Rogers Bros silverplate fish knife, marked “1847 R.B A1” on the blade. Features a long decorative blade with serrated edgeand ornate hand-engraved floral and scrollwork decoration. The handle has lovely Victorian-style detailing.
This is a silverplate serving piece, commonly referred to as a fish knife or fish serving knife, used for serving fish at the table. The “A1” mark indicates a high grade of silverplate (not sterling silver).
