Antique 1898 Remember the Maine “Blood in the Water” Pin Back Spanish Civil War
An antique celluloid pin back button promoting America's protesting the sinking of US Maine in 1898.
Image shows the Maine ship in black , with the American flag in full color on top. Printed on rear in black.
Measures 1 1/4" in Diameter.
Condition: Average to good. Missing the rear locking pin. Evident scuffing and scratching, mostly horizontal in fashion. Darkening around the edges. Spots of rust on the backside of the donkey and the rear. Tiny paint rubbing underneath the donkey's legs. Legible text and definable imagery. Moving mechanism functions but can be a little "sticky" through the range of motion.
