Please take a peek at our new quickie VIDEO!

DESCRIPTION:

This is a Martin Soprano Style 0, which is a small sized uke having only 12 frets, all of which are playable as the neck joins the body at the 12th fret. Frets are the early bar type & retain plenty of meat on the fret wire.
Uke features an all mahogany construction with a rosewood fingerboard having 3 small MOP dot markers.

She has the original black nut, the original ebony tuning pegs with center screw adjustment, & the original mahogany bridge. We are including a modern, non original violin case in which this uke fits very well. Case serves to protect instrument very effectively.

Stamped “C.F. Martin & Co, Nazareth, PA” on the rear of head stock & stamped on the interior of the body visible through the sound hole. No serial number, which was typical for the time period in which this instrument was made.

CONDITION & SPECS:

Uke was given a complete inspection & pro set up. Our luthier repaired the lifting top & cracks on the treble bout side by glueing & clamping; glued the interior back braces; adjusted the action, filed the nut slots to specs, notched out the bridge for string stability while being played, & tightened the tuning pegs. He also lightly sanded any dings out of the frets, lemon oiled the fingerboard, buffed out the body & fingerboard & polished the body. A new set of strings were installed, so she’s ready for many more years of service.

All work was performed by Dave Fecca Guitar Repair, Moorestown, NJ.
Dave, aka “Catfish”, along with his spouse, April Mae, are the co-founders of April Mae & The Junebugs, a very popular & accomplished Americana/Roots/Jump Blues, Rockabilly, etc, band which has recorded & performed extensively throughout the US since 2010.
Uke measures 21” Long X 6.125” Wide X 2.25” Deep;
Scale length is 13.75” from nut to bridge; nut width measures 1.3125”; total uke weight is 0.619 Lb.
