Antique 19th Century Japanese Arita Imari Porcelain Covered Rice Bowl
Today we have a stunning antique Japanese covered rice bowl with matching domed lid, decorated in a hand-painted Arita / Imari-style palette of iron red, green, and small gilt accents. Design features stylized birds, floral scrollwork, geometric borders, and a leafy landscape.
Top of the lid bears a red square “fuku” seal in Japanese. We attribute this piece to likely early-mid 19th century.

Very antique condition with amazing display value. Has some age-related wear as to be expected. Light surface wear, minor enamel/gilt rubbing, small firing irregularities, and some discoloration/staining to the foot ring area. There is some small rim chiping visible, primarily on one side of the bowl. Inner lid also had a noticeable, but shallow glaze chip. No major cracks observed. Please review photos closely for overall condition and details.
