Antique Bacher & Co (Bloch) Vienna Petit Point Gobelin Evening Purse w Guilloche Enamel
Today we have a beautiful early 20th century Viennese petit point / gobelin evening purse by Bacher & Co. (Formerly Bloch & Co.) from Vienna, Austria.
The purse features finely worked petit point needlework with an ornate floral design and exotic long-billed birds. The textile panel is set into a decorative gilt metal frame with embossed scrollwork, scalloped inner trim, chain handle, Glass Sea Pearl bead border, and burgundy guilloche enamel accents on the clasp and front frame. Interior is lined in cream ribbed silk/satin fabric with a small interior pockets. Comes with marked mirror (mirror has lost reflectiveness with age)
A very attractive Viennese decorative accessory, likely dating to the interwar period between the 20's and 30's.

Good antique/vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Textile remains very decorative with some toning, small pulls, edge wear, and light soiling/discoloration from age. Interior is surprisingly and exceptionally clean. Still has some discoloration expectected from cream fabric of a certain age. Metal frame shows very small areas of patina, darkening, and surface wear. Glass pearls are intact, but a view are kind of loose, but still intact. Please review photos closely for condition details.
