Antique Clifton Art Pottery Indian Ware Large Vase Southwest Geometric MCM Design
We are offering a rare antique Clifton vase, measuring about 7.0” high and 9.75” - 10" wide. Clifton was only in business for a few years in the 1900's. Very massive in person! Statement piece!
This piece is in their “Indian Ware” style, meant to evoke the styles of the Native American craftspeople. The clay red, white, and black geometric patterns perfectly encapsulate the American southwest.
The side of the vase is marked “Four-Mile Ruin, Arizona” with a pictorial symbol. The bottom is hand signed “Clifton” and “242”.
This piece is the perfect addition to any collection. Goes well with Mid Century, Native American & Southwestern design!
Very good condition with no chips. A little section of slip glaze is gone. There are some tight hairline cracks which do not compromise the integrity of the piece. , they do not go through,
