In a lavish parlor, a young Regency woman wearing an Empire style dress  plays a piano as a man listens intently in the background. The bottom right corner is printed with the signature of William Ladd Taylor (1854-7926) American .

Done in the painting style of William Merritt Chase. Light on the subjects is a very important detail.

The frame is gold leaf and  wood with some understated carved detailing. This piece is the perfect addition to any collection.

Very good to excellent condition with minimal age-related wear. The frame is sturdy and the glass is intact.
