Antique German figural desk tray with a blacksmith at work. We think that it's spelter/pot metal, but not 100% sure. Mounted on a solid marble base. The figure is depicted holding a hammer and tongs over an anvil
Marked “Germany” on the metal base, consistent with export pieces produced in the late 19th to early 20th century. This style is commonly associated with the Art Nouveau to early Art Deco transition period, roughly circa 1900–1925.
