We are offering a pair of antique Wolf & Knell Hanau detailed repousse with cut outs silver footed comports/ compote dishes. They are about 6” high and 3.5” in diameter and together weigh 483.3 grams of 800 silver.
Hanau production is characterised by a fantastic combination of different styles, often blending elements from Rococo Watteauesque scenes with Baroque and Renaissance elements, or creating impressive and original Gothic-revival pieces
These beautiful pieces are detailed with a floral motif about the dish, shaft, and base. Lattice cut outs and different patterns.
They are a perfect addition to any collection.
The bottoms are stamped with the mark of Wolf & Knell of Hanau, Germany.
Very good condition with some denting in one dish and some warping of the bases. Please see photos for specific condition as they are an extension of our written description
