Antique Imperial Russian Hand Hammered Brass Tray / Desk Tray – Moscow Factory Mark
Today we have a very cool antique Imperial Russian brass tray, likely late 19th to early 20th century (no later than 1917), featuring a long rectangular form with raised beveled sides, loop handles, hand-hammered center surface, and copper rivet construction. The tray has a stamped Cyrillic factory mark near one end which appears to read/matches with “Фабрика въ Москвѣ,” translating roughly to “Factory in Moscow.”
Nice decorative utilitarian form that could be used as a desk tray, serving tray, dresser tray, vanity tray, cigar tray, barware accent, or display piece. The surface has an attractive aged brass patina with visible hammering, hand-formed character, and contrasting copper rivet heads.
