Antique Japanese Banko Vase Lamp Carved Relief Scene Pagoda Landscape Works!
We are offering an antique Japanese carved vase converted to a lamp, measuring about 22” tall altogether, 8.5” tall with just the vase, and 5.75” in diameter at the base.
This piece is a heavy ceramic vase carved in incredible detail with a tree shadowing a house set deeper in the scene. Banko ware is a form of stoneware traditionally made in the Mie prefecture of Japan. The lamp can hold two bulbs. This piece is the perfect addition to any collection.
Good to very good condition with expected age-related wear. There is a chip in the base that does not affect the stability. The top portion of the lamp is a bit loose but is in working order and will not shift on its own. Needs to be tightened.
The cord looks good.
